information: |
The course
will provide solid guidelines on safe travel
in winter on potential avalanche-prone terrain.
We will practically assess increasing and decreasing stability of the
snow pack and the problems faced when travelling for recreational purposes
in potentially high risk conditions.
We also study the nature of Scottish avalanche forecasting, rules about
evaluating stability, minimising avalanche risk and basic search and
rescue techniques, including use of a transceiver. |
