however, if you have all the equipment listed with
an * then please bring with you. We encourage candidates
to use their own kit.
4 season hillwalking boots and gaiters
10 or 12 point articulated crampons
50 to 60cm ice axe with detachable leash
Trekking poles
40 to 50 litre rucksack compression strap style with
waterproof liner, recommend lightweight dry bags
Hydration,
either flask or water bottle / bladder

With practise all items will fit into a 50 to
60 litre alpinist compression strap style
rucksack.
You may have items you want to bring with
you which are not listed above, please bring with you.
Your
course is completely self catering, please ensure you
have enough food to cater your needs for the entire
6 day course
including the overnight snow hole expedition.
Please
remember to bring a dish towel, bath towel and wash
kit and personal clothing for wearing indoors,
especially soft shoes for travelling.
