Winter mountains
are a world away from summer with virtually
every dimension of the environment
transformed and both the risks and
attractions arguably multiply many
times over for all who use the winter
mountains for work and recreation.
Our range of avalanche safety training courses, workshops and lectures
are ideal for professional leaders, instructors, recreational walkers,
climbers and off piste skiers. Our experience instructing avalanche
skills and knowledge spans 16 years.
Our courses are delivered by highly experienced and professional mountaineering
instructors who are also experienced trainers and assessors of (MLTS)
Mountain Leader Training Scotland, Winter Mountain Leader Scheme.
Avalanches are one of the largest hazards recreationalists, professional
leaders, instructors and guides face in winter conditions, we all want
to have more fun but stay safe when we travel in to the Scottish winter
mountains.
Our courses will help you to develop robust winter route planning skills
and have great fun at the same time. Knowledge of avalanche avoidance
can help you explore winter terrain you never thought possible but
more importantly explore with greater confidence.
Our courses are hands on, packed with practical advice, skills coaching,
confidence building and helpful information.
For WML candidates and full WML award holders we provide CPD certificates
of attendance.
