Getting
Started - Ratio: 1 - 2
Do you just
want to climb? Our introductory Rock Climbing course introduces you
to a wide variety of rock, routes and grades, on crags from the roadside
to big mountains. A mixture of guided experience and coaching, the
course teaches all the basic climbing skills, introducing the techniques
that provide a solid basis for you to become a competent ‘second’ by
the end of the week.
Focussing
on skills from movement on rock, to belaying and stance management
for single and multi-pitch routes, the course will also offer an
opportunity to practise leading routes for those who wish. This course
is ideal for those who have never rock climbed - but who want to!
Some hillwalking experience is useful, but not essential.
